Ready for Hope, Change, and a little Global Fixin'

Just thought I would prepare for the incoming cabinet. So far, I get the feeling that hope and change can mean just about anything to any one of the chosen ones. Here is a transcript taken from Mr. O’s recent visit to the local schoolhouse (AKA: the transition team meeting room).

Mr. O: “So Nancy, what does hope and change mean to you?”

Nancy P. – Kindergarten: “Well, Mr. O, I think hope and change means that the big mean government people that are doing bad things should get in trouble and get kicked out, except my friends, cause they are really nice and they are smarter...except I am smarter than them.”

Mr. O: “Now Tommy, what does hope and change mean to you?”

Tommy D. – 1st Grade: “Well, Mr. O, I think it means that everyone will be able to go to the doctor for free, cause no one will have to pay for it, and the mean people will have to give all their money to the ones that don't make any money, cause they are rich and it makes the other people feel bad and have to go to the doctor.”

Mr. O: “So Harry, what does hope and change mean to you?”

Harry R. – 2nd Grade: “Well, Mr. O, I hate them... I hate them all... all those mean people that are little and don't do what I want them to. They call me names and make me cry. I want my mommy!”

Mr. O: “So Mary, what does hope and change mean to you?”

Mary S. – 3rd Grade: “Well, Mr. O, hope and change means that just because the chickens got eaten by the bad wolf, doesn’t mean that a person shouldn’t be able enough to watch the chicken pens anymore. It wasn’t my fault! Artie was the one who said it was ok to leave the chickens to go and get candy. Besides, he had a whole handful and wouldn’t share it with me.”

Mr. O: “So Bill, what does hope and change mean to you?”

Bill R. – 4th Grade: “Well, Mr. O, the mean people are always watching me and now they want the bad man to look at my homework. I wish the mean people would leave me alone. I am going to stop going to this school. My mommy says you will have to find another kid to sit at my desk, cause we are moving back to our old home.”

Mr. O: “So Al, What does hope and change mean to you?”

Al G. – 5th Grade: “Well, Mr. O, I think hope and change means that everyone will love the planet, cause the planet is sick, and we should save it from the oil companies and power plants, cause the mean people won't ride bikes and the good people have to take planes everywhere to tell the mean people not to be so mean.”

Mr. O: “So Raum, what does hope and change mean to you?”

Raum E. – 6th Grade: “Well, Mr. O, hope and change means that we can do everything like we want. We don't have to listen to those mean people that say we have to do what they want us to. We can just tell them something and then do what we want anyways. Mr. O, can I call Mr. B for you again? Please?”

It's Back

The BearsHead has been emptied and remodeled for new entries.
